Judges – Christine, Jenny and Bruce – Scribe – Judy
- 2. Intermediate – Kuru of Mamaku – Good depth of field and the frond is sharp. Light captured well on the subject. We would recommend a tone down to the white on right hand side bottom corner. Highly Commended
- 1. Intermediate – Wild Affection – Composed nicely, colours are bright. Good depth of field. Subject is engaged with the photographer and the eye is sharp. Highly Commended
- 6.Salon – Gannet Flight Path – The image gives a feeling of freedom, with the The diagonals make a dynamic image. Great colours. Honours
- 7. Salon – Mt Taranaki from Elephant Cove – Your eyes are drawn to the mountain. Cropped tight on the left. Try to lighten the shadows on the rocks. Merit
- 8. Salon – Oamaru Gardens – A restful scene. We suggest a crop to the sky and tone down of the colour of the middle person. Lift the shadows especially on the bridge. Perhaps try as a panorama photo. Merit
- 4. Intermediate – From the Centre – A graphic photo with a filter to give a fish-eye view. The colours are good and the centre is sharp to pull you in to the center view. There doesn’t appear to be a focal point Merit
- 3. Intermediate – SymmaTree – At first glance the photo does not pop as anything special and the white dots distract. Then after reading the title again, we could see the Symmetry and see the flip to make a creative mirror symmetric image. Highly Commended
- 5. Salon – The Wild Ones – A lovely shot of a family of horses in tussock. Photo is sharp but tightly cropped at the top. Highly Commended
