- 01s – African Sunset Nature’s perfection. The back tree is well focused and the vignette makes sure the eye is drawn to the main tree. The sun is not too demanding. Good presentation. Honours.
- 02s – Anna A very happy portrait of Anna. Colours look nice and natural. The smile shows in Anna’s eyes. Honours
- 03i – Through Seeing Rock. Nice idea of image being taken through this aperture in the rock. The light on the curve is distracting. A nice sharp peaceful scene. Merit
- 04i – Pink Thistle Lovely image of a weed. Did you think of a crop at the right to have it central? Really stands out against the dark background. Remove spot near bottom of flower head. Accepted
- 05i – Morning Contemplation. The title says it all. You have managed your shot very well with the sun not blown out. Some details lost in the shadows. Use of an ND filter would help when taking photos into the sun. Highly Commended
- 06i – Takapu Smile Great image of the majestic birds. Love the almost cheeky smile. Adding some blur to the bottom left corner would lessen distraction of white feather. Highly Commend
- 07i – Death Knell Interesting shapes and angles in the tree. Monochrome treatment and vignette work well. Tiny bit in the bottom right could have been cloned out. Honours
- 08i – The Cottage Picture perfect chocolate box image. What’s the deal with the 2 people sitting so far apart – there is a story there. Mono effect is great and is well presented. Honours
- 09s – Zinnia Joy. Beautiful bright colours with blurred background. Front Zinnia does not stand out. A suggestion is to lighten and blur the background. Merit
